Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)
In accordance with the requirements of the U.S. Department of Transportation as set forth in 49 C.F.R. 26, as amended, the Cape Girardeau County Transit Authority (CGCTA) hereby notifies the public that it is recommending the following Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for applicable professional services, construction and procurement contracts during Federal Fiscal Years 2018 to 2020. The overall DBE goal for the next three (3) years for FFY 2018 to 2020 is 0.01%. It is CGCTA’s intent to obtain our DBE goal entirely through race neutral means. Information pertaining to this goal and a description of how it was selected is available for inspection from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday, at CGCTA’s offices located at 937 Broadway, Suite 200, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701 for 30 days following the date of this notice. Written comments on this goal will be accepted for 30 days from the date of this notice. The comments are for informational purposes only and may be sent to the DBE Officer, same address, or to the Regional Civil Rights Officer, Federal Transit Administration, Region 7, 901 Locust Street, Room 404, Kansas City, MO 64106.

Cape Girardeau County Transit Authority operates its programs and services without regard to race, color, and natural origin in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. Any person who believes she or he has been aggrieved by any unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI may file a complaint with the Cape Girardeau County Transit Authority.

Notice of Reasonable Modification
Cape Girardeau County Transit Authority provides reasonable modifications to individuals with disabilities by making changes to policies, practices, and procedures if needed by an individual with a disability to enable him or her to participate in Cape Girardeau County Transit Authority's services subject to several exceptions. These exceptions include when the modification would cause a direct threat to the health or safety of others, would result in a fundamental alteration of the service, would not actually be necessary in order for the individual with a disability to access Cape Girardeau County Transit Authority's service or would result in undue financial or administrative burden.
