Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)

PUBLIC NOTICE
June 29th, 2023

In accordance with the requirements of the U.S. Department of Transportation as set forth in 49 C.F.R. 26, as amended, the Cape Girardeau County Transit Authority (CGCTA) hereby notifies the public that it is recommending the following Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for applicable professional services, construction and procurement contracts during Federal Fiscal Years 2024 to 2026. The overall DBE goal for the next three (3) years for FFY 2024 to 2026 is 0.08%. It is CGCTA’s intent to obtain our DBE goal entirely through race neutral means. Information pertaining to this goal and a description of how it was selected is available for inspection from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday, at CGCTA’s offices located at 937 Broadway, Suite 200, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701 for 30 days following the date of this notice. Written comments on this goal will be accepted for 30 days from the date of this notice. The comments are for informational purposes only and may be sent to the DBE Officer, same address, or to the Regional Civil Rights Officer, Federal Transit Administration, Region 7, 901 Locust Street, Room 404, Kansas City, MO 64106.

Cape Girardeau County Transit Authority operates its programs and services without regard to race,  color, and natural origin in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act.  Any person who believes she or he has been aggrieved by any unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI may file a complaint with the Cape Girardeau County Transit Authority.
